The Brew
Afkomstig uit Grimsby (Engeland) is The BREW een van de meest opwindende en boeiende live-acts van deze tijd. Het trio wordt ook wel England's beste rockexport produkt van de laatste twintig jaar genoemd. De bevlogenheid en het enthousiasme waarmee de groep op het podium te werk gaat werkt aanstekelijk. The BREW dat zijn bassist Tim Smith, zijn zoon Kurtis (22 jr) op drums, ook wel genoemd “The Bruce Lee of the Drum Kit” en het jonge fenomeen Jason Barwick (21 jr) op gitaar en zang. Inspiratiebron is de gezamenlijke voorkeur voor de muziek van o.a. Led Zeppelin, de vroegere Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix en de huidige generatie bands als Wolfmother en Kula Shaker. Live is het als kijken naar The Who in vervlogen tijden. Een performance met heel veel energie. Niet voor niets stonden ze al op het grote podium van Rock Palast en waren ze in Duitsland support act voor o.a. Joe Bonamassa en ZZ Top. Steeds meer mensen en de schare fans neemt alsmaar toe, waaronder opvallend veel jongeren.
De jonge gitarist Jason ziet er uit als een jonge versie van Jimmy Page. Alsof hij zo uit de eind jaren zestig is weggelopen. Hij klinkt niet minder.
